The problem §1

The work is not the writing. It is the search through the documents.

A document has hundreds of fields to fill in, and many of those values are already somewhere in your case file: in the land registry extract, the sale contract, the floor plan, the planning certificate. Time goes into finding that information, copying it accurately and keeping track of each figure’s source.

Here, every value taken from a document arrives with its source — the file, the page and the quote — so checking it takes one look. Not every field has a document behind it: your calculations and your judgement stay yours. You work them out in your own Excel file and link the result to its place in the document.

Four steps, in the order you already work in.

You upload your source documents

PDF scans, photos from your phone, Word files. Every document is read end to end, not just the first pages.

You check the proposed values

Each field in your template shows the value found, next to the quote and the page it came from. When two documents disagree about the same item, you see both and you decide.

You fill in the rest, the way you work today

You fill in fields yourself when the source documents do not hold the answer, or link the result from your Excel file. Your correction stays; the next run does not overwrite it.

You export to Word and PDF

The document comes out in your own template, with your header and your tables. When you finalise it, the Word and PDF files are saved as a fixed version.

What stays in your hands

You sign the document, so the final check is yours. Any value taken from a document can be opened, compared with its source and corrected on the spot — and whatever you write stays exactly as you wrote it.

You download the final document and keep it, in your own Word format and as PDF. You will not need us to open it years from now.
